Cortney grew up in Tecumseh, Oklahoma but always aspired to call Norman her home. In 2001, this dream became a reality when she moved to Norman to attend the University of Oklahoma. While finishing her bachelor’s degree in Social Work, she met her husband Kevan.
After college graduation, she began her career as a social worker for OKDHS. In 2004, she became the Social Services Director for Independent Living Services for Youth (the non-profit now known as Bridges). She left this position in 2007 to focus on being a mom to her new-born daughter Ricci. She continued to work in home health, hospice, and non-profit social service agencies. She also served as PTA Vice President and President-Elect at Eisenhower Elementary. Her family grew to four in 2013 with the addition of her son Maddox.
In early 2016, Cortney and her husband founded Rhombic, LLC. Rhombic provides transportation engineering and site development services throughout Oklahoma. Cortney serves as Co-Owner and Director of Operations.
Next year, her daughter will be a freshman at Norman High and her son will be a second grader at Washington Elementary. Cortney and Kevan will celebrate 18 years of marriage.
Cortney serves in Norman as a member of the Assistance League, Eastside Business Association, Small Developer Council, and the Chamber of Commerce. She was a graduate of Leadership Norman - Class of 2020. She and her family are active members of the Alameda Church of Christ. She loves to travel but is always proud to call Norman home.
